Rural Virginia Wedding Photographer: Stephen Gosling Photography
One thing I’ve learnt over the past couple of years; Brides love dates that look interesting. Last year it was 10/10/10, this year it was 9/10/11. And Sarah snapped me up for the date so long ago I almost forgot what she looked like. But after how amazingly she photographed on her wedding day; I don’t think I’ll be forgetting that face for a very long time.
This has to be one of the most DIY weddings I have photographed; and yet it was also one of the most loving and most beautiful. The wedding took place out in rural Virginia (east of Richmond and south of Charlottesville) at the Grooms family farm. The flowers were put together by the bride, family members made the cake and took care of the catering, there was even a friend as videographer. I think in fact that I was the only person there who was not either a relative or a family friend. And what an honour it was to be present.
Sarah & Tyler’s ceremony reflected their deep love for one another and I wish them nothing but incredible happiness for their futures together.
Here are my favourite shots from the day.

Look! The moon as a back drop for a first dance. AMAZING!

Congratulations Sarah & Tyler. I see many wonderful things in your future.
