Northern Virginia Engagement Portraits: Stephen Gosling Photography
I never, EVER, thought that I would be wading into a freezing cold river in the middle of November just to get some good portraits! Don’t get me wrong; I’m totally willing to do it (as you’ll see from some of these pictures), I just never thought it would happen. That being said; it was a very mild November day (the water was still freezing!) and when a cute couple like Tiffany and Sean ask you, it’s kinda hard to say no…
Some of you may recognize Sean from his Redskins fame. And before that he was a veteran Seahawk back in Seattle (which is where he met Tiffany). Their wedding is scheduled to be in Mexico next year and I’m trying to convince them to let me tag along!
Tiffany picked out Red Rock Wilderness Overlook Regional Park (wow that’s a mouthful) for the shoot and seen as I had never shot there before I was going in a little blind. Luckily Tiffany had a ton on ideas (and a whole bunch of wardrobe changes 😉 ) so the session turned out to be super easy. And when you have great backdrops, WONDERFUL afternoon light and an easy going couple of subjects; life is good.
Here’s some favourites!
I love this next one. Tiffany telling Sean how to climb a tree! Come on lad, just get up there!
Totally worth the slightly frozen toes 😉
