Washington DC Engagement Portraits: Stephen Gosling Photography
My first engagement session of the season! Jeannette & Brad are getting married in November and they wanted to make sure we got our engagement photos done early so that they can get their save the dates out as soon as possible. We scheduled our session originally for a Saturday in January only for an ice storm put the kibosh on that. We rescheduled to an early Sunday morning in February and unsurprisingly we were the only people around (especially on the college campus – college kids probably being hungover) for most of the session.
Jeannette & Brad met whilst studying at American so it was very important to them that we start the session there. I had never visited campus before. It reminded me of my college back home; the nice mixture of modern building with the lovely ugliness of buildings built in the 70’s. Ah the architecture of the 1970’s, how far from beautiful you are.
After our walk around campus we headed to the warmth of the US Botanic Gardens down by the Capitol Building and shot in and amongst the jungle greenery.
It was a pleasure to shoot you guys and I can not wait until November!
Once an eagle always an eagle!
Thanks again guys for braving the early cold with me!
