Washington DC Wedding Photographer: Stephen Gosling Photography
The first thing I want to say is that I am under no illusion that people read my blog, let alone other photographers. I in no way think that the way I do things is the correct way and I am not writing these posts to tell people how to shoot or how to run their businesses. I am however going to be writing about my experiences; my failures, my successes, etc. If these posts help anyone, great! If not; no big deal.
That being said…
Do you like my joke?
This is sort of the companion post to my equipment list from a little while ago (http://goslingphotographyblog.com/2011/12/02/for-photographers-my-equipment/). These are the bags I use.
First and foremost is the biggie. The rolling case. The fella that saves my back 🙂
This holds most of my equipment and comes with me to every wedding and editorial assignment. The Airport International is the smaller of the two airport cases (the other being the Airport Security) because international carry on limits are smaller than the domestic limits. And since I knew I would at the very least be flying home a few times with the case I absolutely wanted it to be international carry on sized!
I LOVE Crumpler products. I love how fun they are at the same time as being comfortable, stylish and colourful. I use this as my engagement shoot bag (I don’t bring the roller along to engagement shoots as I don’t need all that equipment) and also my lens bag during weddings. When I get to a wedding I usually find a safe place to store my rolling case and put the items I will need in my Crumpler and keep it with me so that I can change lenses fast if I need to.
This is the bag that I use the least but is actually the comfiest. I use this bag for when I need to be moving around a lot but need more gear that would fit in the Crumpler. So this bag mainly comes out for corporate stuff or when I’m shooting when I travel. It fits a ton of stuff inside and is comfy to carry all day long.
If you have any questions about these bags just drop me a note in the comment box and I’ll sing their praises!
