Washington DC Wedding Photographer: Stephen Gosling Photography
The first thing I want to say is that I am under no illusion that people read my blog, let alone other photographers. I in no way think that the way I do things is the correct way and I am not writing these posts to tell people how to shoot or how to run their businesses. I am however going to be writing about my experiences; my failures, my successes, etc. If these posts help anyone, great! If not; no big deal.
That being said…
This post is an update to my primary equipment post from a little while ago; http://goslingphotographyblog.com/2011/12/02/for-photographers-my-equipment/
In my previous equipment post I noted a little list of new pieces I wanted to add to my collection. And with that being said I would like to introduce you to my new Canon 85mm f/1.2 II and my Fujifilm x100.
The 85mm f/1.2 is a beast. She is a beautiful, wonderful beast. I love my 50mm f/1.2 but I needed something with just that little bit of extra lens distance to help me shoot portraits and the important dancing shots. The this lens is the perfect tool for that job! SHe is wee bit of a heavy one but the images she produces is well worth the weight.
The Fujifilm x100 is a little bit of a different beast and I am actually going to have a full post dedicated to this camera in the coming weeks so I won’t go into it too deeply here. But what I will say is that I bought this camera to be my ‘comes with me everywhere camera’ and I couldn’t have chosen a better camera for the job! Plus; look how sexy it is!
