Virginia Wedding Photographer : Stephen Gosling Photography
The first thing I want to say is that I am under no illusion that people read my blog, let alone other photographers. I in no way think that the way I do things is the correct way and I am not writing these posts to tell people how to shoot or how to run their businesses. I am however going to be writing about my experiences; my failures, my successes, etc. If these posts help anyone, great! If not; no big deal.
I LOVE CRUMPLER!!! And you should too.
Crumpler make camera bags and accessories. Camera bags and straps are very important. They keep your gear safe and get it from place to place. And they need to do those things comfortably! I’ve been using Crumpler brand bags and straps for years and I absolutely love them! They are some of the most comfortable and interesting looking pieces of gear that I have.
The camera straps that I use on my cameras are the Crumpler: Industry Disgrace’s. I just love the ridiculous names they come up with to name their stuff. It just makes the whole process more fun. And they also offer their items in normal and sometimes very abnormal colours. This way you can either blend in or stand out as much or as little as you would like!
I also have two shoulder bags that come along with me on weddings and engagement shoots. One is slightly bigger then the other so depending on the shoot the bigger one or the smaller one come along. They are shown below… They come with ample padding and dividers so you house your gear comfortably and safely. They even have something called Velcro-silencers; you can cover the Velcro up so that it won’t make any noise. This can be especially handy when shooting during a wedding ceremony as you don’t want to make loud noises or be a distraction!
Below we have a backpack called the Karachi Outpost (bizarre right?). This is the bag I use when I am flying to a shoot (I actually have the large version which they don’t sell any more). It holds a laptop as well as a ridiculous amount of camera gear. And the best part; it is incredibly comfortable!
And they have now started selling rolling cases which if I didn’t already have one that I adore (made by Think Tank) I would absolutely buy one from them!
So if you’re looking for bags or accessories to help you in the photo-journeys; give Crumpler a look!
