DC Wedding Photographer : Stephen Gosling Photography
One of the many wonderful products available to add to your wedding or engagement session is a canvas print. Ali & Pat just bought their first house so I thought I would surprise them with a little something to go on one of their freshly painted walls.
For the photographers out there interested; I use WHCC for my canvas prints. I find the quality to be excellent and their customer service is second to none!
From the pictures below you can see the texture in the canvas.
They also cover the back of the print with paper. This just makes it safer, as their is something on the back of the print to protect the actual canvas on the front. They also add the plastic bumpers on the bottom corners so that the print and your walls are protected. And they add the teethed hanging thingies to the top so that you can hand the print directly on the wall. But if you are a traditionalist you can also take the print to a framer and they’ll stick a frame around it.
The canvas is a ‘wrap-around’ canvas which means they use the edges of the print on the sides. You have to make sure that the image you want on the canvas has the space around the subjects to wrap around these edges or else you might end up cutting someones head off! You can edges that are either 1.5 inches thick or 2.5 inches thick (for the larger sized canvas prints). So just be aware of your image edges!
Any questions just let me know! And once they get the canvas hung on a wall I’ll be sure to get a picture of it!
