For Photographers – Shooting Gloves

Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer : Stephen Gosling Photography

The first thing I want to say is that I am under no illusion that people read my blog, let alone other photographers.  I in no way think that the way I do things is the correct way and I am not writing these posts to tell people how to shoot or how to run their businesses.  I am however going to be writing about my experiences; my failures, my successes, etc.  If these posts help anyone, great!  If not; no big deal.

To those of you have ever had to shoot a session/wedding in the snow, the rain and the outright freezing cold; you fully understand the dilemma of either wearing no gloves and having your hands freeze or wearing gloves and having trouble pushing the buttons on your camera.  Well, worry no more!  You should buy a pair of shooting gloves.

These shooting gloves have gripped palms and fingers so your camera won’t slip out of your hands, and they also have index finer and thumb holes so that you can press the buttons you need to, when you need to.  And then when you;re done shooting your picture, the index finger and thumb go back into the glove.

Check out Freehands (or just go to bhphoto.com and search for gloves).

And for your viewing pleasure; some snowy pictures of Old Town.
